Koodo India is all about getting sport enthusiasts on a single platform to enable them build a strong network in the community. We believe there is a huge gap in the sports industry which can be narrowed by connecting sports enthusiasts, professionals & sport businesses thereby creating a self-sustaining community to help each other.
Koodo India Pvt. Ltd. and South Mumbai Chess Academy partnered with Dhoot Transmission Pvt. Ltd. and Creaticity to organise a District Level Open Chess Tournament in Feb’20. This was the 1st SMCA District Level Open Chess Tournament which was organised by Koodo.
South Mumbai Chess Academy is ranked as #1 Chess Academy in India. It has a vast experience in lending exposure to students for the past 21 years. SMCA provides training and participation opportunities across various league tournaments like inter-school, Common Wealth Games and the World youth Games.
Dhoot Transmission Pvt. Ltd. was the Title Sponsor and Creaticity was the Venue partner for the tournament. They were the major contributors to make the event successful. We highly appreciate their vision. The support offered by them for such initiatives is very valuable which highly motivates the participants and brings out fresh talent in the country.
The participation in the tournament was exemplary and the enthusiasts were beaming with energy and sportsmanship. The categories in the tournament included - Under 7 category, Under 9 category, Open Category and a Visually Challenged Round. Trophies, Medals and Certificates were awarded to the winners and participants respectively.
Koodo plans to organise and support many more such activities/events across all sports in order to bring the sports community closer & promote sports.
